Piece of advice: when your doing the barrel jumping on Midas River, switch to the other side of the river at every 4th barrel, then switch back. This will get you the most coins.

I noticed something. When Mario can’t run, your teammates can’t run.

Look at the FAQ about Battle Mechanics on GameFAQs. A perfectly-timed block will do 0 against anything you can block, no matter how strong.

Mallow didn’t push the button again he just got off it, you need to stay on the button so the door won’t open that’s why Belome was there so he could stay on the button.
