Truely good RPG’s are
Pokemon
Final Fantasy
Kingdom Hearts
Star Ocean
Damn dude, your voice sounds clear as shit.
At first I thought my speakers decided to not crap out on me lol
Does anyone know if Dragon Age Origin is going to be multiplayer? It’s made by BioWare…
Hell yeah Secret of Mana! One of Square Enix’s best RPG ever on the Super NES.
pokemon is techniqually RPG,
so multiplayer works very well with pokemon, so why not other RPG’s
Good to see you back magus. A youtube without you is snoozetube. That being said, multiplayer does work on rpgs and secret of mana is a great example. The tales series in my opinion is one of the best games for having multiple players. The only MMORPG i find fun to play is Phantasy star universe, pretty fast pace and hectic.
Fuck yeah secret of mana. One of square’s best games.
Glad you’re back on Magus I’ll check out Neverwinter Knights as well as their fansite they sound really cool which is rare for a fansite speaking of elitist fansite’s were you referring to a certain eva fansite? Cause that site is elitist central.
Actually, I don’t visit any of the forums.
I’m sorta of a loner when it comes to the game.
One of the great things on MMO’s in my opinion are the fact that you can set your OWN goals.
Even though I love rpg’s I have never played an online rpg.
I guess I’ll find out how it is when White Knight Chronicles comes out.
welcome back!
I am glad your back brother
I get ya. I keep forgetting that video games is a total personal preference zone, hehe.
i need to try the multiplayer/online part of Neverwinter Nights it sounds like one huge DnD game which would be kickass. I think one of the things that some of the MMOs out there forget about is that RPGs rely on the story the players go through. RPGs should tell a story where as MMOs tell the bare basics of the world players are in and let players RP, kill each other, raid or do whatever they want really.
Oh I have no problem with someone else seeing that as a goal and enjoying themselves along the way. I just mean that personally it’s hard to get into them the same way it seems to be hard for others.
Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast was the Best MMORPG game of all time compare to the others imo, BTW, welcome back Magus.
I guess you removed your comment, but i’m just curious, how many games does Skies of arcadia go for?
I think the term “goal” here is relative. While I’m not a huge supporter of MMO’s, I dont exactly have ill feelings towards them either. If a player considers tackling an end-game boss/raid and acquiring some of the games top equipment, I don’t think it’s fair to not consider this a “goal” solely because the credits don’t follow afterwards.
I think the .Hack Games are a good example of Multiplayer mode because you can invite other party members to participate.
Secret of Mana blew me away by storm the first time I played which was one of the first RPGs I’ve played to allow a 3 person multiplayer mode where you can connect the Hudson Soft 4-Player Multi adapter to play with 2 other buddies (which was the same adapter unit used for Super Bomberman)
I think Diablo and to a lesser extent the Tales series are the only RPGs that come to mind with good multiplayer that I’ve played.
It’s good to see another person out there who shares my view on most MMORPGs being level grinders with no real end goal to be achieved.
i dont know if this is an open question, but unless you already know how the game wraps up, i recommend finishing it off
I’m a big RPG fan, and i’m looking for a new sereis to play. Any titiles for PS2 or GC anyone suggests?
I’d say yes.
is final fantasy 7 worth playing to the end
