And it was their mistake for not doing it with Square. That’s why fans were not treated to a REAL sequel. Nintendo thought they could just imitate Square and do something as good as them when they clearly couldn’t.

Evev though Paper Pario: ATTYD was sorta like
the sequel, it doesn’t match up to Legend of the Seven Stars.

None of those other Mario RPGs are as cool and endearing as the original, and none will ever be. The original is a masterpiece. It’s a thing of it’s time. Squaresoft and Nintendo’s work on that project just happened to result in a kind of special alchemy which we may never see again. Like a classic movie, it’s just something really special that happened that one time out of chance, and trying to forcefully recreate that magic can’t be done. That’s why remakes always suck.

That’s much better. Some of those lines are absolutely confounding, though. Pay attention to the (lyrics?) when Mario starts singing after Exor. Weirdest/dumbest in the whole video. Thanks to you, though, since every word is captioned, I even picked up some new (lyrics?) I never even noticed before.

I liked the paper mario for the 64, not so much the gamecube one and I haven’t played the wii one
