I want to design an online multiplayer rpg, what are the things that make them good?
ace 11 asked:
What can be improved by games like world of warcraft and runescape? I have my own personal opinions but I want to know yours. However as I believe some rpg 's can be very good, there is much room for improvement. They're not so experienced in your game that only a few rpg 's but I have many ideas, if you wanted to know what they say so.

I’d love it if the MMORPGs I played allowed user mods & made level grinding less of a monotinous task. Awesome background music is a must; Maple Story has that one down. You can never have enough quests or avatar design options. All mmorpgs should offer a choice of either paying a subscription fee, or playing free with heavy advertising (the advertisers pay & it’s best to have ammusing advertisements that have geek-related interests). Inside jokes, running gags, & homages to classic games within the game are always great. Good voice acting with noncorny dialogue is a must. Character inventory should be pretty large. There should be lots of things people can collect & a large veriety of monsters with a large veriety of loot. Weapons & armor should be upgradable & allow for enhancements. Very important that environments look significantly different from eachother. Interaction with an endlessly explorable environment that can be used, harvested, & take damage is always a plus.
