Which programs to use to make a 2d rpg game like dragonfable or mechquest?

those specific RPGs were made with Flash
this is kind of unusual (and interesting) since Flash has a lot of limitations that make it difficult to make an mmorpg with it
the advantage of flash is that it’s very accessable and most people can just play the game in their browser without any hassles
but if you want to make a commercial game with flash, you have to buy it and it costs over $500
I’d use GameMaker.
It’s great for new little developers to understand how the basics of a 2d game works. You can even share them online and it’s completely Free.
Lol, you are looking at something way to advanced for you. But you can use Java, C#(XNA), C++(Opengl, SDL, Direct X), OR VB(Probably not the best choice.
