Is it considered cheating to use strategy guides or walkthroughs when playing RPGs or strategy games?

I 'the m. playing games like Final Fantasy tactics advance and I have problems? I find that the routes to certain updates. There are many who speak of how walkthroughts update stats and how certain classes need certain prerequisites that aren 't declared in the game. This would be considered cheating? Or should this be used only for perhaps the second or third operations?

In a way yes.
But then again you use cheats/walkthroughs to just help you progress through the game.
In all maybe not so much as cheating
No i believe guides and walkthroughs arent cheating they can be helpfull and also can teach you about stuff not covered in the game manual
i believe that you are completing it yourself as the game was suposed to be played
cheating in my opinion is using codes or exploiting glitches in the game to get an unfair advantage
and using it on 2nd or 3rd runs is stupid because you probably allready know everything by that time
I don’t consider them cheating.
well if your really stuck then walkthroughs will help u through that so no its not cheating its helpful
Strategy guides and walkthroughs are not cheats whatsoever, as the nature of a cheat is to deceive the memory of a game to put the odds in your favor (Such as infinite health, ammo, etc.). Strategy guides and the like are exactly what they are called, guides. Walkthroughs help experience the game better, more fully, and mostly give the game player the full effect of the game. Why pay good money for a game you can only complete half of?
Would it be considered cheating if you bought “Oblivion (PS3)” and wanted to make sure you got all the bonuses, seen all the cutscenes, etc? There is not one person on the planet that can say they achieved everything in that (Or most games involving the RPG genre) game, there is just too much to experience. This same idea applies to any game, as long as the basic principal of you doing your best to avoid the guide is followed. If your playing right from the book, why play? Just read the guide and rip the movies to your PC because your only wasting your time.
It’s honestly up to you, and your own definition of what you would consider cheating, but to be honest it doesn’t matter, as long as you enjoyed the game who cares how exactly you got there?
I’d say it is cheating, because if you were really that good you’d be able to beat the game without the guide at all. The only way it’s not really considered cheating is if you’ve beaten the game, but use a guide to figure out how to do some extra stuff life how to find and defeat optional bosses.
